Since 1995, Julie Brenot's art has primarily explored painting like a territory between fiction and reality which passes alternatively from abstract illustration to figurative representation. Using different influences such as pop or decorative culture, so that painting becomes an extension of reality and is enriched with pictures, novels, vinyls records, posters and wall paper with Brenot's own, mostly narrative, ideas. So a videogame becomes a pattern of painting and in doing so plays with the traditional representations and systems of perspective, to become a subjective reality.
